Texas State Vehicle Inspections are required annually to register your vehicle. It's the same price anywhere you go, $7. Every place looks for the same items (see list). This is not only for your safety when operating your vehicle in the day or night, but for others as well.
It seems silly to check windshield wipers - but think about it, with Texas' random weather, it can rain on any given day even if not in the forecast! Window tint so you can see others and they can see you.
We recently failed someone because their horn wasn't working. The horn serves a purpose to alert others of danger. As much as we all want to honk at that annoying driver who cut us off on the highway, it's to alert drivers if they do not see you or to give them a heads up of something about to be in their way.
All the items serve a purpose. We don't mind taking the time to explain why. We also give you a chance to fix it within 15 days for free and come back! If it's small, like a lightbulb or wipers, bring it in and we will install for you for free just to make sure you pass!
