Among Honda's remarkable tales is that of Joe Cicero, a Maine resident whose 1997 Honda Accord celebrated the extraordinary milestone of over one million miles, all powered by the original engine and transmission. This incredible achievement was recognized in 2011 with a celebratory parade and a brand-new 2012 Accord. The Honda Civic, launched in 1973 amid an oil crisis, also made waves with its impressive fuel economy, boasting an astonishing 40 miles per gallon on the highway, a feat that resonates with environmentally conscious consumers even today.
